The Fast 5 is organised by Preston Harriers and consists of four 5K races held on Wednesday evenings at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena in Preston. Each race is a standalone event, giving runners multiple opportunities to record a fast 5K during the spring and summer.
The accurately measured course uses the traffic free cycle track at the sports arena. The flat route covers just over three laps with no sharp corners, providing consistent running conditions and strong PB potential.
Two races are staged each evening based on predicted finishing times, creating an enjoyable experience for runners targeting a fast performance.
