Piethorne 10K is a circular trail race starting and finishing at the Bulls Head in Newhey, Rochdale. The route explores the Piethorne and Ogden Reservoirs before crossing beneath the M62 to reach Hollingworth Lake, following bridleways and undulating trails with around 275 metres of ascent.
Organised by CraggRunner, the event is run under Fell Runners Association rules and is also included in the Trail Running Association calendar. Runners benefit from a clearly marked course, experienced marshals and a friendly grassroots atmosphere, with registration opening from 8:30am ahead of the 10:00am start.
