Piddle Wood Plod Cancelled

The Piddle Wood Plod 10K is organised by Hydrographic Harriers and starts and finishes at Thurlbear Primary School near Taunton. The event is held under a Trail Running Association permit and raises funds for local charities while offering a friendly trail running experience in the Somerset countryside.

The 10K course follows two gently undulating laps through Piddle Wood, combining forest tracks, quiet country lanes and woodland trails. Runners pass Lime Ridge, Wych Lodge fishing lake and sections of the Neroche Here Path, with a mixture of flowing trails, short climbs and technical descents providing a varied and rewarding route.

Water stations, marshals and a well organised race day help ensure an enjoyable experience from start to finish. All finishers receive a unique commemorative medal designed with the help of local schoolchildren, while prizes, post race refreshments and a welcoming community atmosphere make this a distinctive fixture on the local trail running calendar.
