Phoenix Running's Remembrance Day Marathon & Half Marathon brings runners together beside the Thames for a distinctive event centred on remembrance. At 11am the entire race pauses for a two minute silence, with runners resuming together at 11:02am.
Runners follow a flat and fast off road trail along the riverside towpath in Walton-on-Thames. The Half Marathon completes two out and back laps while the Marathon covers four, with no overall elevation gain or loss and chip timing recording results across both distances.
Based at Xcel Sports Hub, the event is known for its dedicated Remembrance theme, supportive atmosphere and distinctive finisher medals. Both distances share the same riverside course and event support, creating a memorable running experience over either 13.1 or 26.2 miles.
