Hoofs, Horns and Paws is a seven hour charity running event based at Hardy Farm in Manchester. The route follows the River Mersey through Chorlton Water Park, with runners completing repeated laps and choosing how far they want to travel within the event window.
Runners follow a flat 5.3K out and back trail along the riverside towpath, with very little elevation gain or loss. One lap is enough to finish, while those wanting a longer challenge can continue through 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra distances or simply complete as many laps as possible before the cut off.
All profits from the event are shared between Save the Rhino and other charities, giving the run a strong fundraising focus. A well stocked vegetarian aid station is available throughout the day, with vegan and gluten free options, and all finishers receive a bespoke medal.
