Manchester Friday Frolic is a flexible distance running event based at Hardy Farm, following the River Mersey through Chorlton Water Park. Participants have a seven hour window to complete as many or as few laps as they choose, with achievable distances including 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra.
Runners follow a flat 5.3K out and back course on riverside towpaths, with very little elevation gain or loss. The flexible format allows each participant to decide their distance on the day, making it suitable for anything from a shorter run to a full seven hour endurance challenge along the River Mersey.
A well stocked vegetarian aid station supports participants throughout the day, with vegan and gluten free options also available. Finishers choose from a lucky dip collection of classic Phoenix medals from previous events, while the event also supports T1 Diabetes Research.
