Organised by Phoenix Running, the Cambridgeshire Games Run takes place at Grafham Water and is inspired by classic family board games. This timed endurance event allows runners to choose their own challenge, from completing a single 5K lap through to marathon or ultra distances within the time limit.
The course follows a 5.3K out-and-back route around Grafham Water, using mainly tarmac cycle paths with a small gravel section. The route is relatively flat with minimal elevation change, making it suitable for runners of all abilities looking to build distance or chase a personal challenge.
The event uses Phoenix Running’s flexible “rock up and run” format, allowing participants to start within the allocated window and decide their distance as they go. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, with support provided throughout the event and places limited to maintain a friendly atmosphere.
