The Fair 10K Is Back!
This summer 10K offers a supportive atmosphere and a memorable running experience in the Fair City...
The Perth 10K, one of Scotland’s most welcoming and long-standing road races, returns on 31 August with its defining message: First or last, it’s the same finish line. After more than four decades of racing, the event continues to uphold its reputation for inclusivity and positivity!
Whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a personal best or lacing up for your first 10K, the Perth event promises a scenic, flat and fast course along the banks of the River Tay. Starting and finishing on the historic North Inch, the route follows the riverside path, winds through North Muirton and the Perth Food Park, and loops back along the National Cycle Network Route 77 to complete the circuit.
The race is open to anyone aged 16 and over and the ethos of the event remains the same: to create an experience where runners of all abilities feel welcome, supported and celebrated. Organisers say: "The day is about more than competition - it’s about the joy of taking part, surprising yourself with what you can achieve, and crossing the finish line with pride."
In addition to the main 10K event, a 1.5K junior fun run will be held, giving young runners the chance to join in the race-day excitement.
In 2024, the race attracted over 300 participants. Iain Jordan of Perth Strathtay Harriers claimed victory in 33:50, while Laura Gibson of Fife AC was the first female finisher in 37:46.
