Peak District South & North is a two day trail running event organised by Ranger Ultras, based in Edale in the heart of the Peak District. Runners can choose the 50K White Peak route on Saturday, the 43K Dark Peak route on Sunday, or complete both stages for a 93K ultra running challenge across the weekend.
The courses explore some of the Peak District's most distinctive landscapes, including open moorland, wooded valleys, gritstone edges and established trails along the Pennine Way and Pennine Bridleway. With substantial climbing on both days and sections requiring navigation, the event provides a demanding experience for trail and ultra runners. Routes are not fully waymarked, but participants receive GPX files and navigation notes.
The event includes staffed checkpoints with refreshments, safety team support, finishers medals and trophies for leading runners. Race headquarters at The Peak Centre provides food and refreshments, with optional overnight accommodation available. Generous cut off times allow participants to tackle the routes at a manageable pace.
