Paws for Cause Fun Run is an after hours fundraising event held at Highland Wildlife Park near Kingussie in the Cairngorms National Park. Organised by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, the event offers 5K and 2.5K fun runs, giving participants the rare opportunity to run through the park after it has closed to the public.
The route passes many of the park's animal enclosures, allowing runners to experience species including snow leopards, tigers and monkeys from a unique perspective. Suitable for adults and younger participants, the event focuses on participation and enjoyment while supporting the society's conservation and education work.
Every participant receives a finisher's medal, certificate and refreshments, with optional event merchandise available to purchase. Combining an unusual wildlife setting, family friendly atmosphere and charitable purpose, the Paws for Cause Fun Run offers a memorable running experience unlike any traditional 5K.
