One More Lap for Kids' Village is a 12 hour team endurance running challenge based at Stowe Field in Lichfield. The charity ultramarathon brings together teams of four to six runners to complete as many laps of Stowe Pool as possible between morning and evening, raising funds for Kids' Village.
Runners repeatedly tackle a short, open and predominantly flat lap around Stowe Pool, with each circuit bringing them back past the event camp before they decide to head out for another. Teams can compete for the highest number of laps or approach the challenge at their own pace, creating an accessible introduction to endurance and ultramarathon style running.
The event combines its endurance challenge with a day long fundraising festival, with team camps, music, food, supporters and prizes contributing to the atmosphere. Participation is free in return for a fundraising commitment, with money raised supporting Kids' Village and its work to create respite breaks for critically ill children and their families.
