Northumberland Coastal Run is a 14 mile mixed terrain race organised by Alnwick Harriers. Starting at Beadnell Harbour, the point to point route follows the Northumberland Coast to Alnmouth Estuary, keeping as close to the shoreline as possible while crossing beaches, trails and quiet roads.
The fully marshalled course passes through the Northumberland Coast National Landscape and includes sections of sand, road and coastal paths before finishing on the beach at Alnmouth. Open to runners aged 18 and over, the race has a three hour and 30 minute cut off and is supported by first aid throughout the route.
From the wide sands of Beadnell to the finish at Alnmouth Estuary, the route showcases one of England's most striking stretches of coastline. The changing terrain, sea views and point to point format have made Northumberland Coastal Run a long standing favourite in the summer racing calendar.
