The Northern Cross Country Relay Championships are organised by Northern Athletics and bring affiliated running clubs together for competitive team racing at Graves Park in Sheffield.
The championships feature junior races from Under 12 through to Under 18, alongside senior men's and women's relays. Junior teams complete three legs over distances ranging from 1.5K to 2.3K, while senior women race over three 2 mile legs and senior men tackle four 2 mile legs.
The event also incorporates the historic Cutler's Relay and the South Yorkshire Cross Country Relay Championships. The Under 12 races form part of the South Yorkshire competition rather than the Northern Championships. Medals are awarded to leading teams, with additional recognition for the fastest individual laps. The event provides a competitive fixture for clubs across northern England.
