Northern AC Winter Road Series Race 1 is organised by Northern Isle of Man Athletic Club and opens a six race series held on Tuesday evenings between October and March.
The races follow a road circuit around Ramsey, with the shorter 1.7K race completing one lap and the officially measured 5K completing three laps. The course takes runners through the town, with the shorter race starting first at 19:15, followed by the 5K at approximately 19:20.
Runners can enter individual races or compete across the full winter series. Five completed races are required to qualify for the overall league standings, while six races earn a series T-shirt. Race numbers are collected from Northern Swimming Pool and retained throughout the series. Reflective high visibility clothing is compulsory, and all participants must be aged 16 or over.
