The Northants 5K Series is back for the 13th year in 2025 and with two brand new venues, there's even more reason to sign up for the five-race series that runs between April and September.

The Northamptonshire-based 5K trail races take place in some of the county's most beautiful parks and woodlands. Kicking off the series on 27 April, the first event will see runners compete at the home of Northamptonshire Sport - the historic Delapre Abbey. With 500 glorious acres of parkland, this location is a tranquil green oasis of woodland and open grassland.

The second race on 14 May will take place in one of 2025's new venues - West Lodge Farm, an award winning farm park where children and adults of all ages can have hands on experiences of farm and country life.

The third race will take place at another new venue for 2025 - Blackpit Brewery on 18 June. This venue sounds like it will offer some fantastic post-race treats thanks to the brewery's tap room and lakeside cafe!

Into July and the fourth event on the 9th of the month will take place at Fermyn Woods Country Park which is a stunning ancient woodland set just south of Corby.  The final race will once again take place at the historic Chester House Estate on 7 September.

All finishers receive a bespoke 5K race medal, with a different one to collect at each race. Organisers, Northamptonshire Sport, say: "If you can't attend one of the races you can opt to do it virtually and receive the medal in the post to complete the set."
