No Walk in the Park is North Derbyshire Running Club's popular monthly 5K in Queen's Park, Chesterfield. Usually staged on the first Saturday of each month, the race provides a regular opportunity to test your speed on an officially measured and fully licensed course.
The 5K follows a multi lap route entirely on the paved paths around Queen's Park. Although known as a fast course, its undulating nature adds some variety to the challenge. A children's fun run also takes place before the main race, making the morning suitable for younger runners as well as those tackling the full 5K.
Runners can use the regular monthly race to chase a faster 5K, test their fitness or compete for age category prizes. There is also a cash prize for breaking the men's or women's course record, while participants completing six races across the annual series receive a commemorative memento.
