The Newcastle Frontrunners Pride Run is an inclusive 5K held in Leazes Park to celebrate the start of Newcastle Pride weekend.
Organised by Newcastle Frontrunners, the event welcomes runners and walkers of all abilities aged 11 and over, creating a fun, supportive atmosphere that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. A children's 1-mile race takes place before the main event, making it a family-friendly evening for all.
The fully marshalled park course offers a lively festival feel, with participants encouraged to embrace colourful fancy dress. Finishers receive a medal and goodie bag, while prizes are awarded for the best individual and team costumes, adding to the unique and welcoming character of this popular annual event.
