The Newburn River Run is a popular summer evening race organised by Elswick Harriers. Starting near Newburn Activity Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne, the event attracts runners seeking a fast and accessible five mile challenge on predominantly flat terrain.
The course follows a straightforward out and back route along the riverside paths of Riverside Park and the Wylam Waggonway.
