The Whitehaven Harbour 5K is organised by Cumberland AC and takes place on the Whitehaven harbourside in Cumbria. The officially measured race attracts runners of all abilities for a summer evening 5K along the town's historic waterfront.
The out and back course starts on the harbour front before heading towards The Beacon and Haig Pit. Although predominantly flat and fast, the route includes a short climb through the Candlestick area with a gravel section before returning to the finish along the harbour.
The race is professionally measured and certified by the Association of UK Course Measurers, with marshals, first aid cover and well organised race day support throughout. All finishers receive a medal, with age category prizes and refreshments adding to the friendly atmosphere of this popular Cumbrian evening race.
