Monsal Trail Half Marathon & 10K Autumn Saturday

The Monsal Trail Half Marathon and 10K is organised by Nice Work and takes place from Bakewell Station in the heart of the Peak District National Park. This Saturday event offers runners a choice of Half Marathon or 10K distances on the famous Monsal Trail, with identical races also taking place on the Sunday as part of the Monsal Trail October race weekend.

Starting from the former Bakewell railway station, the traffic free route follows the historic Monsal Trail, a former Midland Railway line that passes through four tunnels and crosses the spectacular Monsal Viaduct. The undulating multi terrain course combines excellent running surfaces with some of the finest scenery in the Derbyshire Dales, making it a popular choice for autumn racing and Half Marathon preparation.

Every finisher receives a bespoke medal, while free event photographs are included and prizes are awarded to leading runners. The welcoming atmosphere and choice of distances attract both experienced runners and those looking to enjoy one of the Peak District's most iconic trail routes.

The Monsal Trail Half Marathon and 10K also forms part of a wider October race weekend, giving runners the option to return for the Sunday event or tackle races on both days while enjoying one of Derbyshire's best known traffic free trail running venues.
