The Bishop's Stortford Mitre 10K, 5K & 1K is organised by The Bishop's Stortford High School and takes place from Jobbers Wood near Much Hadham in Hertfordshire. This community running event welcomes experienced runners, newcomers and families, while raising funds to support school sports facilities and student resources.
The professionally measured 10K and 5K courses follow traffic free country roads through the picturesque villages and countryside of East Hertfordshire before returning to Jobbers Wood. The gently undulating routes provide an enjoyable challenge for runners targeting a personal best or taking on a new distance, while the 1K race gives younger runners the opportunity to join the day.
The event features chip timing, a commemorative finisher's T shirt or the option to have a tree planted instead, trophies across a range of categories, refreshments and free parking. Organised entirely by volunteers, the Bishop's Stortford Mitre 10K, 5K & 1K has become a popular community event in the Hertfordshire running calendar.
