The Mither Tap Hill Race is organised by the Cosmic Hillbashers and is Race 3 of the five race Cosmic Summer Series. Held at Bennachie in Aberdeenshire, the event is a classic Scottish hill race that forms part of the club’s long running summer series.
The 6.4K course starts at Bennachie Visitor Centre before following the old turnpike road onto rough hill paths that skirt the summit of Mither Tap. The route then descends on well made trails before returning to the visitor centre, covering approximately 365 metres of climbing on challenging hill terrain.
The race is held under hill racing rules and is intended for experienced runners comfortable on unmarked terrain. Registration takes place at Bennachie Visitor Centre, with experienced organisation and series standings adding to the appeal of this demanding midweek race.
