A fantastic opportunity to visit the wonderful village of Methlick and the amazing scenery of the Ythan Valley. Starting at the cricket pitch, the 10K route takes runners along the valley floor, then at about 4K the trail rises up the Valley to Haddo Farm. From here the route loops back and takes runners along the ridge.
There's a great view of the Gight Castle and surrounding countryside. The route descends after the quarry back to the valley floor, and a swift return to the village. The Junior 3K race starts shortly after the 10K at the cricket pitch, and is an out and back race along the valley through the Polesburn Wood.
The Trailblazer races are focused on community spirit. Please join us afterwards for refreshments provided as a by the village school parents association. There is a small fee for the catering, so please spend your pennies to help the pupils! There will be medals for all participants, and prizes.
