The Meerbrook 15K takes place in the village of Meerbrook near Leek, following a challenging road route through the Staffordshire Moorlands. Known for its demanding profile and rewarding scenery, the race attracts runners looking for a testing summer road race in a striking upland setting.
The 15K course follows a loop of rural roads with approximately 400 metres of ascent. The defining feature is the long climb of Gun Hill, which begins early in the race and rises steadily for around 5 kilometres. From the higher sections of the course, runners are treated to views across Tittesworth Reservoir and the Cheshire Plain before tackling a series of undulating sections and a fast downhill finish back into Meerbrook.
Combining challenging climbing, scenic moorland roads and panoramic countryside views, the Meerbrook 15K is one of the most distinctive road races in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
