The Meall an t Suidhe Hill Race is organised by Lochaber Athletic Club and takes place from New Town Park in Fort William. This classic AS category hill race covers 5.6K with 460 metres of climbing, attracting experienced hill runners seeking a short but demanding challenge on the lower slopes of Ben Nevis.

The unmarked course climbs directly onto Meall an t Suidhe over a mixture of grassy trods, rocky ground and steep mountain terrain before returning to the finish by the same route. Strong climbing, confident descending and sound navigation skills are essential, with rapidly changing weather often adding to the challenge.

The event is held under Scottish hill running rules with mandatory kit requirements, including waterproof clothing, map, compass and whistle. Registration, changing facilities, showers and post race refreshments are available at New Town Park, making this a popular and well established fixture in the Highland hill running calendar.
