Maverick South Downs Trail Races

The Maverick South Downs Trail takes place at Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire, with five distances ranging from 5K to a 51K Ultra. All routes begin in the country park before heading onto the surrounding trails, with the longer distances exploring further across the Hampshire and West Sussex countryside.

Runners tackle a varied mixture of woodland trails, farm tracks, ridgeways and rolling chalk downs, with short, steep climbs adding to the challenge. Marathon and Ultra runners spend an extended section on the South Downs Way, while the 51K route reaches Harting Downs and West Dean Woods and features almost 1,300m of elevation gain.

The event is fully timed with marked courses, event photography and a finisher medal for every distance. Outposts support runners on the Half Marathon, Marathon and Ultra routes, while the event village at Queen Elizabeth Country Park provides a central base for runners and supporters.
