The Marshfield Mudlark is a family friendly mixed terrain running event based at Withymead Playing Fields in Marshfield. Three distances cater for different ages and abilities, with routes extending from the playing fields into the surrounding South Gloucestershire countryside.
The headline 11K Mudlark winds through fields, along lanes and into the hilly landscape of St Catherine's Valley, creating a varied rural challenge with plenty of potential for mud underfoot. The 5K Mudlite provides a shorter off road challenge, while the 2K Mudling Fun Run follows a field based route designed for younger participants.
All three races start and finish at Withymead Playing Fields, creating a central event base for runners, families and spectators. With accurately recorded race times, a choice of distances and plenty of countryside running, the event provides an accessible introduction for younger runners alongside a more demanding challenge over the longer routes.
