The Maidstone Half Marathon starts and finishes within Mote Park, a large green space in the heart of Maidstone. From the park, the route heads through sections of the town before reaching the surrounding Kent countryside, creating a varied setting for this established local race.
Runners can expect a hilly road course over the Half Marathon distance, with the route incorporating sections reminiscent of earlier editions of the Maidstone Half Marathon. The combination of town roads, quieter countryside and a finish back inside Mote Park gives runners plenty of variety across the 13.1 miles.
Mote Park provides a spacious setting for the event headquarters and mini event village, as well as a good location for friends and family to support runners at the start and finish. The race is also part of the Kent Grand Prix, attracting club runners alongside those taking on the distance for their own goals.
