Magna Carta Spring is a scenic trail running event organised by Hermes Running, with Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K distances on the Thames Path through historic Runnymede.
All three races start and finish beside Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club and use flat out and back sections alongside the River Thames. The routes head towards Staines Bridge and Old Windsor Lock, combining riverside scenery with a location closely associated with the history of Magna Carta.
The Marathon completes five sections between the start and Old Windsor Lock. The Half Marathon begins with two shorter out and back sections towards Staines Bridge before completing two longer sections to Old Windsor Lock. The 10K combines a shorter opening section towards Staines Bridge with one longer out and back section to Old Windsor Lock.
Turnaround points are marked and marshalled, with checkpoints supporting runners around the course.
