Lymm Runners Santa Dash brings a colourful procession of Santas through the village as part of the annual Lymm Dickensian Day celebrations. Participants set off from Brookfield Surgery near the canal bridge, leading the parade through the village centre with crowds lining the streets to cheer them on.
The event features a 5K road fun run for participants aged eight and over, alongside the Santa Stride, a shorter 4.3K walking option. The route heads down Eagle Brow and through the heart of Lymm, with a Santa suit included in each entry. The emphasis is on taking part and experiencing the festive atmosphere rather than competitive racing.
Both routes finish at Sow Brook, where participants receive a souvenir before returning to the village to explore the Dickensian Day festivities. The event also supports local primary schools through donations of sports equipment, bringing a community focus to this popular Christmas tradition.
