Looe Summer Run starts and finishes at the Millpool Centre in West Looe. The approximately 6 mile mixed terrain course follows the West Looe riverside before climbing through Kilminorth Woods along the upper bridle path to Trelawne Woods. The return route descends through the lower woodland paths before rejoining the riverside for the finish. The route combines road, woodland tracks and bridleways with scenic views throughout.
Organised by Looe Lions, the event raises funds for local charities and includes a finisher's memento for every participant. Prizes are awarded to the first male and female finishers, the first local male and female runners, and the Challenge Cup-winning club with the first four finishers. Race numbers are collected at the Millpool Centre, with parking available at Millpool Car Park. The course is not professionally measured and is manually timed rather than chip timed.
Looe Summer Run is an excellent choice for runners looking for a scenic mixed terrain race in Cornwall. Combining riverside paths, woodland trails and beautiful coastal scenery, it offers an enjoyable summer challenge while supporting local charitable causes.
