London Winter Run 2024 medal reveal

London Prepares To Fight Cancer

It's time to do what we can to freeze cancer in its tracks this winter...

There's always great excitement regarding the medal reveal for London's coolest and Britain's largest 10K and the 2024 design is indeed another classic collector's item. Cancer Research UK London Winter Run participants will be rewarded with the chunky medal (pictured above) featuring a transparent snowflake surrounded by glittering sparkles, with an isometric 3D perimeter adding to the icy theme.

Over 20,000 people will receive this beautiful memento after crossing the finish line on Whitehall close to Big Ben on the 25th of February 2024 and you can earn an additional bespoke medal by taking part for the event's headline charity, Cancer Research UK – click here for details of how to become an Exclusive Fundraiser and add to the £5.2 million already donated to help fund life-saving work into the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer.

Research indicates there are currently an estimated three million people living with cancer in the UK. On average, someone is diagnosed with cancer at least every 90 seconds, and each year around 167,000 people die from cancer in the UK, an average of nearly 460 people every day.

It's time for us all to do what we can to freeze this pernicious, indiscriminate disease in its tracks. So why not have some fun while getting on with the serious business of helping science and medicine to keep advancing toward a cure?
