The Tony Barnes Memorial Sefton Park 5 Mile Race is an annual 5 Mile road race held in Liverpool's historic Sefton Park. Organised by Mossley Hill Athletic Club, the event commemorates Tony Barnes while welcoming runners of all abilities to a popular summer evening race on traffic free paths.
The accurately measured course consists of two laps of Sefton Park on fully marshalled, traffic free paths. Starting near the Sefton Park lake car park on Mossley Hill Drive and finishing a short distance beyond the start, the route offers fast running through one of Liverpool's best known parks in an attractive green setting.
Held under UK Athletics rules, the event features official race timing, first aid cover, prizes for leading finishers and veteran categories, team awards and a commemorative finisher's memento.
