The RNLI Swanage Lighthouse Loop Run is a 5K trail race from Peveril Point in Swanage, Dorset. Held as part of Swanage Lifeboat Week, the event supports the RNLI and forms part of the Purbeck Trail Series.
The predominantly off road course follows coastal trails through Durlston Country Park towards Anvil Point Lighthouse before looping back towards Swanage. Runners experience a varied route of paths and trails overlooking the sea, with the Jurassic Coast landscape and lighthouse providing distinctive landmarks along the course.
The Lighthouse Loop is one of six races in the Purbeck Trail Series, allowing runners to compete in an individual race while also taking part in the wider competition. Its combination of coastal trail running, community fundraising and a summer evening setting gives the race a distinctive character.
