The Letting Off Steam races start and finish at Whitwell and Reepham Railway Station, following 5K and 10K trail routes along the scenic Marriott's Way and surrounding public footpaths. The traffic free routes offer an enjoyable mix of countryside running and historic railway surroundings, making the event suitable for both experienced runners and families.
Organised by Boghopper Races, the event raises funds for the Keeping Abreast Breast Cancer Reconstruction Support Charity. Every finisher receives a medal, refreshments are available throughout the morning, and the event is held under Association of Running Clubs rules, with a relaxed, untimed format that encourages participation over competition.
