The Leeds Golden Mile is a one mile track race held at Leeds Beckett Carnegie Athletics Centre, giving runners of all abilities the opportunity to race the classic distance on a certified athletics track. Competitors are seeded into heats based on their predicted finish times, creating closely matched races from start to finish.

Open to runners aged 8 and over, the event includes separate junior heats for 8 to 11 year olds and 12 to 16 year olds, alongside adult races. The flat four lap course provides ideal conditions for fast, accurately measured performances, with every finisher receiving a certificate.

The Leeds Golden Mile is perfect for runners aiming to improve their mile time, experience track racing for the first time or compete in evenly matched fields.
