Better Be Quick For Balmoral

If Run Balmoral is on your 'to do' list for 2026 then be quick! Entries close Monday...

Runners are being urged to act quickly with just days remaining to enter this year’s Run Balmoral, set to take place over the weekend of 4 and 5 April on the iconic Balmoral Estate in Royal Deeside.

Entries close on Monday (30 March), with organisers warning that time is running out to secure a place at one of Scotland’s most popular and picturesque running events. Established in 1998 and run by the not for profit organisation Balmoral Road Races Ltd since 2005, the event continues to reinvest in itself, ensuring it remains a standout fixture on the calendar.

Run Balmoral is known for its family friendly atmosphere, offering a full weekend of racing and activities for all ages and abilities. Saturday’s programme features a packed schedule including a 5K, 10K, and junior races, alongside a lively event village. Sunday shifts focus to the trails, with 6 and 15 mile races set against the stunning estate landscape.

All finishers across the weekend will receive the first in a series of five medals inspired by the wildlife of the Balmoral Estate, adding an extra incentive for those taking part.

Beyond the racing, the event offers much more than just time on the course. Visitors can enjoy a vibrant event village with a wide selection of local food and drink, family friendly activities including a play area and mini train, and access to the estate’s grounds and attractions. Runners and their guests will also be able to explore the refurbished restaurant, gift shop and exhibitions across the weekend.
