Kew Gardens Half Marathon starts on closed roads inside the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, before heading out onto a flat riverside route through Richmond upon Thames.
After leaving the gardens, runners follow the Thames towpath and riverside towards Ham House before turning for the return journey, finishing beside the River Thames at Kew Gardens. The predominantly flat course is well suited to runners chasing a Half Marathon personal best or using the race as preparation for a spring marathon, with pacers available to help runners maintain their target pace.
The race is chip timed and finishers receive a medal and technical T-shirt. Entry also includes admission to Kew Gardens for the runner and up to two adults and two children, with a post-race acoustic music celebration and exclusive access to the Children's Garden.
