The Kenmore Hill Race is a traditional 8.8K hill race featuring 500 metres of ascent and forms one of the signature events of the Kenmore Highland Games. Starting and finishing at the Games field in the picturesque Perthshire village of Kenmore, the race has become a much anticipated test of endurance and hill running ability.
The challenging route climbs steeply onto Kenmore Hill before returning on a fast, technical descent across rough hillside terrain. Combining sustained climbing, uneven ground and panoramic views over Loch Tay, the course rewards strength, confidence and sure footed running while delivering a memorable Highland racing experience.
Held as the finale to the evening's athletics programme, the Kenmore Hill Race remains an integral part of the Kenmore Highland Games. Its blend of tradition, community spirit and demanding hill terrain continues to make it one of Perthshire's most distinctive local hill races.
