Running Back In Time

See York Run York return to Leeds with 80s themed event...

Sweatbands and ankle warmers at the ready… race organiser, See York Run York, has a new event for 2022 and it is a must-do for anyone who loved the decade of neon lycra and synth beats!

The Juke Box Jive is scheduled to take place on 7 May at Bodington Cycle Circuit in Leeds. The first in a musical series - things are kicking off in pop-tastic style with the sounds of the 80s.

The event is a two-hour lapped challenge around the cycle circuit which is a 1.6K loop. Runners can run as few or as many laps as they wish within the alloted time. So, you can run just one lap and finish to receive a medal or keep going for the full two hours and see how many laps you can squeeze in. Organisers say: "It is your challenge, your race, you decide the distance!"

All runners, no matter how far or fast they have run, will receive the same bespoke, music themed medal and a top notch goody bag.

See York Run York, offers events for everyone. From trail to track races, from 10K events to lapped challenges. Their aim was to create friendly running events for runners of all abilities. If you'd like to take part in this 80's special then visit the See York Run York website for more information.
