Joydens Wood 5K starts from the picnic area in the heart of Joydens Wood, following a 5K trail route through ancient woodland. The undulating course uses natural woodland paths and tracks, providing an enjoyable off road challenge in a peaceful forest setting. Runners should allow time to walk from the parking area to the start.
Organised by Dartford Road Runners with the permission of the Woodland Trust, the race welcomes runners aged 11 and over. The event has a friendly atmosphere, with limited parking available nearby and trail shoes recommended to cope with the woodland terrain. It forms one of the Joydens Wood Summer Series races but can be enjoyed as a standalone event.
