The Joy Cann Memorial 5 Mile Road Race is organised by Huncote Harriers and is held in memory of club runner Joy Cann. Established in 1993, the event has become a well-known fixture in the Leicestershire racing calendar and attracts runners from across the county.
The 5 mile road course travels through Huncote, Narborough and Enderby, offering an undulating challenge on roads and pavements. The race is part of the Leicestershire Road Running League Summer League and features chip timing, a competitive atmosphere and prizes.
The 2026 event is a closed race for Leicestershire Road Running League club members only, with a maximum field of 800 runners. The race is suitable for runners aged 16 and above and has a 1 hour 15 minute cut-off time. A proportion of race profits is donated to local charities.
