An Island Delight!
Jersey in June. What could be nicer...?
The 37th Cannacord Wealth Jersey Half Marathon – on Sunday, 14th June 2026 – is the runABC South Featured Race that should be on everyone's bucket list. The Channel Islands' premier running event, inaugurated in 1989, has been organised by Run Jersey Events since 2012, after receiving the baton from Jersey Hash House Harriers.
Our advice is to enter early to secure your number before planning travel and accommodation, as this award-winning race is often fully subscribed. If you would like a race T-shirt, you must have entered before 14th May 2026. After that date, the default option will be 'Trees not Tees' to support the event's sustainability pledge.
Last year's event had 392 finishers in 3:38:56 (there is a 'flexible' 3:30 time limit) with race wins for Liam McCormack (unattached, 1:15:58) and Olivia Shanks (Jersey Spartan AC, 1:26:52) as 24 people beat 90 minutes and 250 kept the two-hour pacer on his toes (pictured above).
The Jersey Half Marathon is a coastal road race with stunning views across St Ouen's Bay. It's not the fastest course, but the vibrant atmosphere and spectacular views make up for that! There are 352 metres of ascent to negotiate, with a drop from 4K to 6K, a steady climb to 8K, and a 'sting in the tail' hill from 16K to the finish at Les Quennevais Cycle Track in St Brelade.
You'll find French road and place names and spend pounds sterling in Jersey, which often tops the charts as the warmest and sunniest of the British Islands. Complimentary return coach transfers from Liberation Square in St Helier are included, along with free car parking on race day at Les Quennevais, which is accessible by bus from Jersey Airport.
If you fancy a short break to a warm and welcoming island, where the money and language are familiar but the atmosphere is distinctly French in flavour, put the Cannacord Wealth Jersey Half Marathon on your bucket list now.
