The Jane Tomlinson Canal Race Series Race 3 is the concluding event in the popular Jane Tomlinson Canal Race Series, organised by Rothwell Harriers to raise funds for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal. Based in Methley near Leeds, the series finale welcomes runners of all abilities to a fast, flat 5K beside the Aire and Calder Navigation.
The accurately measured one lap course follows the canal towpath on flat trail surfaces, providing excellent conditions for fast running and personal best performances. The scenic waterside route offers a straightforward and enjoyable challenge, making it suitable for experienced runners and those new to racing alike.
The event features chip timing, a fully marshalled course and contributes to the overall Jane Tomlinson Canal Race Series standings, with medals awarded to all finishers at the final race. Combining a fast towpath course, friendly club organisation and a strong charitable focus, Race 3 provides a fitting conclusion to this long established Yorkshire summer series.
