runners at Isle of Man Marathon

The Microgaming Isle of Man Marathon, Half Marathon & Relay

The Isle of Man Marathon is a competitor friendly event, taking place on a picturesque course in the north of the island. There's a half marathon and a 4-stage relay on the programme so racing opportunities from 6 miles to the classic 26.2 mile distance plus the chance to extend your stay with six races on the island following Sunday's main event.

The Half Marathon has been voted one of the top 50 races in the UK by Runners’ World - stunning scenery over an undulating course awaits those who enter. The race is run on quiet country roads, starting and finishing at Ballocloan stadium in Ramsey. All runners receive a medal, T-shirt and goody bag – and they also get to participate in the now legendary buffet!

Last year’s marathon was won in a time of 2:43:58 while the winning time for the half was 1:16:07.

Sponsored by Microgaming Play It Forward and supported by Up&Running and Ron Hill Sports, the event is organised by the Isle of Man Veterans AC and is superbly supported by a team of friendly volunteers around the course and at the water stations.

The marathon, half marathon and relay are scheduled for Sunday 12 August and this is also the first day in the No Rest for the Wicked series, which consists of six different events - including road, trail and hill races, in six consecutive days on the island.
