Organised by Greener Miles Running, Isaac's Tea Trail Ultra takes place from Allendale in Northumberland and follows the full Isaac's Tea Trail through the North Pennines National Landscape. The event also includes a relay option, with both following the same 37 Mile route.
The self navigated course follows permanent Isaac's Tea Trail waymarkers on a mixture of farmland tracks, riverside paths, field boundaries, moorland trails and quiet lanes. The circular route passes through Ninebanks, Alston and Nenthead before returning to Allendale, offering around 4,800 feet of ascent across dramatic upland scenery.
The event includes GPS tracking, well stocked checkpoints, hot drinks at race headquarters, free event photos and a finisher's memento. Marshals are positioned at key locations while generous cut off times and a welcoming atmosphere make this a memorable Ultra Marathon in the North Pennines.
