The Inverbroom Hill Race is a challenging 4.2K out and back hill race held at Inverbroom Farm, just south of Ullapool, as part of the Lochbroom and District Sheepdog Trials. Starting at midday, the course follows a demanding mixed terrain route towards Clachan on the historic Coffin Road before returning to the finish, packing approximately 330 metres of ascent into a short but testing race. Steep technical sections are rewarded with breathtaking views across An Teallach, the Fannichs and the surrounding Inverbroom landscape.
More than just a race, the event is part of a community day celebrating the Highlands and raising money for worthy causes. All proceeds are shared equally between Highland Hospice and LoveOliver Childhood Cancer Charity, while runners and spectators can enjoy a welcoming atmosphere with refreshments, home baking, a burger van, on-site facilities and afternoon fundraising activities. Whether you're racing for a fast time or simply to experience a memorable Highland hill race, this event offers a rewarding challenge in a spectacular setting.
