Due North Trail Runner

New Trail Races For Yorkshire Dales

This trail race series has a couple of new events this autumn...

The final piece in the Due North Events Trail Series jigsaw will take place this autumn with the inaugural Malham Trail Half Marathon and 10K races set to take place on 9 September in the stunning Yorkshire Dales.  The third part of the Due North Trail Trilogy will see runners in both events start in Malham Show Field. They will then run through the famous locations of Malham Cove and Malham Tarn with a climb up to Weets Top rewarding everyone with a beautiful long descent and amazing views all the way.

Spectators can spend the day in the beautiful setting with village cafes and pubs within walking distance, although truth be told if the weather permits, this is prime picnic spot territory.

The Due North Events Trail Race Series is aimed at all levels of runners. From those new to trail running, those wanting to increase distance and those more experienced runners who are looking to test themselves over a new course. The previous two events were the Burnsall 10K in April and Kettlewell (Skirfare) 10K in May.

Organisers comment: "We are keen to promote events which are inclusive, therefore we think that our courses, although technical in parts, are accessible to all by fully way marking the route and giving generous cut-offs.

"This way an experienced runner can take on the course, mentally and physically pushing themselves across the mud, steep climbs and tricky descents whilst the less experienced, or ‘leisurely runner’ can relax and take in the stunning scenery and enjoy the experience of running in this beautiful part of the country."

Every runner will receive a free gift bag with Due North merchandise and a few more treats. They will also receive food and drink at the finish.
