Hustle In Herefordshire

There's a brand new event planned for North Herefordshire this summer...

Herefordshire's Croft Ambrey Running Club will be staging a brand new event this summer - the inaugural Hillfort Hustle will take place through beautiful North Herefordshire countryside, including a 'visit' to Croft Ambrey Iron Age Hillfort! The new event is scheduled for 20 July and will include two race options - a 10 Mile Hustle and a 5 Mile Hustle.

Those taking part can expect a challenging but beautiful run including a challenging climb up to the Hillfort at Croft Ambrey. Starting opposite the Riverside Inn at Aymestrey, the run takes in the pretty village of Leinthall Earls before entering the private Gatley Estate which has given special permission for the race to enjoy their wonderful grounds.

Speaking about their event, a spokesperson said: "The climb up to the Hillfort is tough but offers some glorious views before the descent to home. It might just be the one of the most beautiful and rewarding races in the country. If you're not up to the full 10 miler then there's the Half Hustle offering a shorter 5 mile route but don't worry, the runners still get to tackle the climb up to the Hillfort!"

All those taking part will receive a bespoke medal and there will be plenty of food and drink options after the race. Prizes will be awarded for top three male and female finishers, for all veteran 5 year age categories and for male and female teams of three in a short presentation when all the runners have crossed the finish line.
