New Race Coming To Cambo!

A brand new trail race is heading to the East Neuk this spring...

Runners of all abilities are set to head to Fife this spring for the inaugural Cambo Trail Run on 22 March, a novice event supporting Cambo Heritage Trust. Taking place at Cambo Estate near Kingsbarns, the four mile race offers a scenic introduction to trail running through ancient woodland, countryside paths and the estate’s historic grounds.

Organised by Nuts Trail Races, the event follows two identical laps on mostly flat terrain before finishing in the estate’s beautiful walled garden. The surrounding landscape provides a rich natural backdrop, with footpaths weaving past Cambo Burn and stretching towards Cambo Sands and the North Sea coastline.

All finishers will receive a medal, with prizes awarded to the first three overall male and female runners. The event also offers plenty to enjoy beyond the finish line, with post race refreshments available at the Stables Café and a range of local attractions nearby, including coastal walks, golf courses and a visit to Kingsbarns Distillery.

Established in 2015, Cambo Gardens operates as a charity dedicated to horticulture, heritage and the arts. Its 19th century walled garden and surrounding woodland, home to a nationally recognised snowdrop collection, provide a memorable setting for a welcoming new addition to Scotland’s trail running calendar.
